Die Stiftung Wissenschaft für Umwelt aus Koszalin sucht nach geeigneten Partnern zur Umsetzung des Projektes "Friendly House", welches sich mit der Analyse umweltfreundlicher Bauten und (Pionier-)Technologien befasst. Das Projekt soll im Rahmen des Programms "Südliche Ostsee" umgesetzt werden. Der Projektantrag ist auf Englisch einzureichen. Gesucht werden Partner aus dem Programmfördergebiet "Südliche Ostsee", welches folgende Landkreise in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern umfasst: Nordwestmecklenburg, Rostock, Vorpommern-Rügen, Vorpommern-Greifswald und die kreisfreie Stadt Rostock.
PROJECT TITLE: FRIENDLY HOUSE
Currently, residential and public building in Europe is the largest consumer of energy and that accounts for over 40% of its consumption. At the same time, the Council of Europe pointed out that the rational use of energy required for building usage directly translates into the effective reduction of CO2 emission – that’s why the European Parliament adopted the amendments to Energy Performance of Buildings Directive in May 2010. In the new Directive it was declared that there is necessity for building only very low energy objects powered from renewable energy sources. According to this legislation, starting from 2021 in Poland all newly built object should be buildings with reduced power consumption and new public buildings should meet these standards from 2019.
Unfortunately, the present activities of Polish central funds and regional operational programs are directed mainly to the improvement of existing buildings (thermo-modernization of buildings). There is a lack of funds aimed at building new, energy-efficient and sustainable demonstration objects. We have no building models (public and residential buildings, built in the standard of passive houses or low energy +), demonstration buildings where man can test different devices and pioneering technologies and reliably estimate their impact, because ecology in architecture is not associated only with energy savings. Currently, friendly buildings should take into account the issues related to water and air (inside and outside) and the protection of soils and impacts on the environment.
Meeting the high demand for the development of friendly and sustainable building we are planning to implement this project. It includes preparation of demonstration building and development of guidance as well as constant educational campaign showing objective advices in understandable way for every stakeholder (public and private investor, architect, designer or resident) that will allow the assessment of the use of materials and environmentally friendly technologies construction.
We believe that ecological thinking should cover the whole life cycle of buildings, not only the physical structure but also include energy, environmental and social costs at every stage of the project. The building and its surroundings are treated by us comprehensively, and requested "green model of friendly building" bound up with the conscious choice of the Polish population.
The project corresponds to Priority Axis 2 Exploiting the environmental and cultural potential of the South Baltic area for the blue and green growth, Programme Specific Objective: Increased use of green technologies in order to decrease the pollution discharges in the South Baltic area
The project will consist of three stages, which should be completed within 36 months.
Project budget - up to 2 000 000 EUR
STAGE I (6-8 months) approx. 200 000
Analysis of available technologies and design of friendly home
Review (with international partners and local experts' experience) the implementation of accessible "green technologies - for residential buildings (mini detached house) and social/public building (educational centre - school, rural common-room). The next step is to develop the design and building documents taking into account selected technological innovation and experience of international partners.Projects will be conducted in participatory way during scheduled consultation workshops taking into account the needs of different stakeholders (senior citizens, young people, students, mayors, teachers, children, parents, etc.). Friendly (segment / modular / cheap / ecological) residential building (about 70 m2) and a friendly public building (500 - 1500 m2) will be designed. Possibility of co-realization with community - at the different variants level (preparatory work, finishing, land development green). will be the discussed. Design assumptions will be complemented by financial analysis - conceptual costs of operation. All documentation will be made available to all interested parties through the web site free of charge.
STAGE II (12 MONTHS) APPROX. 1 000 000 EUR
Building of demonstration objects one friendly public building (500 - 1500m2) and friendly residential building (about 70 m2) - all buildings combined into one compact complex.
Building of these objects will be carried out in the form of practical workshops, (shooting / filming) and documented on the component work. On this basis, the creation of a guide on how to prepare green heat exchanger, how to carry out the insulation of buildings using a variety of materials, how to make clay plastering, how to build a rocket stove, etc. On this basis, preparation of guide on how to prepare green heat exchanger, how to carry out the insulation of buildings using a variety of materials, how to make clay plastering, how to build a rocket stove, etc. Economic assumptions and energy supply for each stage of building will be verified. The objects will be equipped with sensors to measure - among others - the permeability of heat, humidity, tension and others measuring the impact on the environment and the closest ecosystem. The collected data will be made available online allowing current analysis by the academic people, architects, planners, contractors and other stakeholders.This stage of the project will be carried out also using the experience of international partners.
STAGE III (12 MONTHS) APPROX. 700 000
This closing stage includes the release of a handbook for the modern green building with the provision of projects and descriptions used in building technology demonstration / photographs / films etc. Next - amenities with the necessary educational tools, and closing the finishing / decoration works. Surroundings
will be designed with the use of educational elements as "experimental installations" directed to children, adolescents and adults. In so prepared demonstration objects will be conducted educational activities aimed to conduct a sustained campaign that raise awareness of the benefits of environmentally friendly houses (passive house to 70m2) and a friendly public building (low-energy public building) designed based on local needs and resources. Additionally, in the object will be conducted training courses, workshops, consulting and demonstrations on the use of environment-friendly building technologies and the use office work space in everyday life in the household and in the educational space.Courses will show also the possibility of applying the principles of sustainable development and modern methods, taking into account the needs of industry and interested individual customers.
Initial assumptions for the demonstration object:
Reception + Self locker room (pool lockers); sanitary room (women + men + disabled + children); room for social café min. 150m2 and a room for cooking workshops min. 80m2 (with separate zone of artisanal production); Eco-shop-20m2; 3 storage room 10m2; Commercial premises min. 300 m2 (one large room, which should go beyond the body of the building, with the possibility of use a roof as recreational terrace)
training room approx. 90 m2 / with the possibility of splitting into 2 smaller; 4 offices approx. 15 m2;
2 offices approx. 25m2; sanitary room (women + men + disabled + children); 2 storage rooms approx. 10 m2; room to work together - co working; min.100 m2, including a mini-kitchen annex (room may also be treated as a common hall)
The building should be approx. 1200m2 and be adapted to the needs of people with disabilities. In combination demonstration, family building (2 * about 70 m2) will be built.
